Recently restored Kriegslok 52 8139 stands at Loenen on 6 September 2025 during the "Terug naar Toen (Back to Yonde)" spectacle.

A nice surprise at Beekbergen during the VSM spectacle Terug-naar-Toen: Polish tank engine TKp23 stands -at least externally- restored in the depot at Beekbergen. For years within the ranks of VSM there was some talk about discarding this Polish machine.

On 31 December 2018 BLS 194 stands at the rear of an Autoverladezug (car carrying train) through the Lötschbergtunnel at the terminal in Kandersteg. These trains still run quite often -sometimes every ten minutes- but the era of the old brownies banking/hauling these trains are almost complete over.

On 1 January 2025 BLS 465 017 enters Zweisimmen with the fast train from Spiez to... normally Montreux via Gstaad. But due to a technical hitch-up, the train ends at Zweisimen and pasengers are requested to change trains -the one ready to the other side of the same platform.

A stroke of luck: on 1 January 2020 BLS advertiser 465 008 calls at Neuchatel with a train set, that advertises for Kambly, a well known brand of cookies (at least in Switzerland!).

BLS 485 015 hauls an almost empty intermodal truck shuttle through a rainy Spiez on 28 May 2019. Sadly, this will be a historic picture because Ralpin, who organises these piggyback trains, have announced their plans to end this Freiburg<=>Novara service due to raising costs. From 2026, the trailers will be transported without the trucks.
