La DER de la saison / The end of the 2024 season of the Blonay-Chamby Bahn - The end of the end: Thanks to the time change, the very last train of the season runs in the blue hour. The Bernina Bahn Rhb Ge 4/4 81 de Blonay Chamby bahn brought the last train to Blonay and waits for the empty material train to return to Chaulin. So the 2024 season is finally over - what remains are many beautiful memories and photos, and of course a big thank you to the volunteers of the Blonay Chamby Bahn for once again a very successful season! Like every year, the popular steam tour with the Train Casse took place this year. In addition to the journey, the culinary part also contributes a lot to the success. The picture shows the (ex) SNCF 141R568 immediately after arriving in Lausanne. The impressive train consisted of 40 axles and a pusher block in the form of the Ae 4/4 251 (BLS). Oct 26, 2024

On 22 August 2018 DBC 189 034 hauls an iron ore train through Venlo Vierpaardjes and is about to pass a railway crossing. After decades of fuzzing to and fro, finally the railway crossing will make place for a short tunnel, wiping out half of the neighbourhood in the proces -and ending photo possibilities on this erstwhile famous vantage spot.
