The FS Treniatila ETR 460 026 arrives in Civitavecchia as Frecciabianca FB 8620. The nine-car train is en route from Roma Termin to Milano Centrale (via Grosseto - Genoa). The ETR 460 021 - 030, with the axle arrangement (1A)'(A1)' + (1A)'(A1)' + 2'2' + 2'2' + (1A)'(A1)' + (1A)'(A1)' + 2'2' + (1A)'(A1)' + (1A)'(A1)', were built by Fiat Ferroviaria in 1995/1996. In 1996, trains 21, 27, and 28 were modified for service to France and designated ETR 463. The background on the left side of the image is also interesting, although I lack detailed information to comment on what I see.

The  SNCF 82621 is leaving the Lyon Perrache Station on the way to Bourg-en-Bresse during in the backgroud the FS Trenitalia ETR 400 031 is wating his departure to Paris. This is the  FR 6654 service wiht the departure 13:11 in Lyon Perrache wiht his arriving at the Paris Gare de Lyon station at 15:30.

Many years ago, I was able to photograph the FS shunting locomotive E 321 009 at Roma Termini. This three-axle electric shunting locomotive was built between 1959 and 1964, was capable of speeds of 50 km/h, and the last locomotive was taken out of service in 2002. Analogue image from November 9, 1984.

Due to construction work, buses are running as a rail replacement service between Iselle and Domodossola. In addition, the BLS is running its RE 1 trains to Iselle every hour (instead of every two hours). The photo shows a BLS RABe 528 departing for Bern in Iselle.

his image of the train entering Iselle station from the Iselle Tunnel reveals an unusual train route: BLS RE 11 4545 is traveling from Biel/Bienne (departure at 7:34) to Iselle di Trasquera (arrival at 9:58). The train served Lyss, Zollikofen, Ostermundigen, Gümligen, Münsingen, Thun, Spiez, Mülenen, Reichenbach im Kandertal, Frutigen, Kandersteg, Goppenstein, Hohtenn, Ausserberg, Eggerberg, and Brig; therefore, it did not travel via Bern. The train consists of BLS RABe 528 111 and 101. Several buses are available for onward travel due to construction work. The property line between FS and SBB lies in the 169-meter-long Iselle Tunnel, shown here, of which 144 meters belong to SBB.

FS Trenitalia ETR 610 003 patiently waits in Domodossola as EC 142 Domodossola - Geneva for departure. The train arrived in Domodossola at 10:12 as EC 143 and was then parked for the return journey. This was due to the lengthy construction work between Stresa and Arona.

When starting up at Como San Giovanni for the last jump to MIlano on 19 June 2001, he saw your photographer running to try to get a picture and held his depart long enough for your correspondent to enable to get the shot.
