Completely gone from Dutch tracks are the once ubiquitious TRAXX Class 186.0 and the ICR coaches. On 26 May 2017 NS 186 018 hauls such a rake through Tilburg Oude Warande. In 2018 NS used a sale-and-lease-back construction with Akiem to cut costs on the locos and from December 2025 all NS Class 186 were returned to Akiem, who lost no time in removing the yellow and blue.

Il 26 maggio 2017 la NS 186 018 traina un convoglio di questo tipo attraverso Tilburg Oude Warande. Nel 2018 la NS ha utilizzato una struttura di vendita e leasing con Akiem per ridurre i costi sui locomotori e da dicembre 2025 tutte le Classi 186 della NS sono state restituite ad Akiem, che non ha perso tempo nel rimuovere il giallo e il blu. 

On 26 May 2019 NS 186 114 hauls ICR stock through Tilburg Oude Warande. Since December 2025 all ICR hauled services have been consigned to the past, ending 150 years of loco haulauge passenger trains in national scheduled services within the Netherlands. Only international trains to and from Belgium and over night trains still are loco haule4d.

FYRA 186 112 had ended her fjourney from Rotterdam at Amsterdam Centraal on 30 March 2013. At that moment, the FYRA brandiong was beginning to dissolve after the spectacular ang highly controversial V250/FYRA debacle.

FYRA 186 117 calls at Rotterdam Centraal with an IC-Direct on 16 October 2013. The mega-flopped FYRA brandings are still on the loco, but the trains are now called IC-Direct as NS Reizigers are in the proces to sort out the mess after the V250 debacle.

On 18 March 2012 FYRA 186 118 speeds through Lage Zwaluwe on the high sped line toward Rotterdam. The FYRA brandings, the deployment of Class 186 with NS Reizigers and the ICR coaches are all gone now.

After a heavy accident, Lineas 186 295 has resurrected from scrap carrying this half rainbow colour scheme. Om 28 June 2019 she is sen passing through Oisterwijk toward Venlo. Sadly, this photo spot has been destroyed a few years ago due to fencing.

Dopo un grave incidente, la Lineas 186 295 è rinata dal rottame portando questa livrea a mezza arcobaleno. Il 28 giugno 2019 è stata vista transitare attraverso Oisterwijk in direzione Venlo. Purtroppo, questo punto fotografico è stato distrutto alcuni anni fa a causa di recinzioni. 

LIneas 186 292 is one of the few locos to carry the LIneas corporate identity and is sen at Valburg hauling a Volvo car carrying train on 5 October 2024. This train shuttles between Sweden and Antwerp and normally crosses the Netherlands via Roosendaal, Dordrecht, Rotteram, Amersfoort and Bad Bentheim. Due to works that wek however, the train was diverted from Meteren onto the Betuweroute freight artery till Elst, where the train continued via Arnhem, Zutphen and Denevter-Snipperling before continuing on her normal route to Bad Bentheim.

La locomotiva LIneas 186 292 è una delle poche a portare l'identità aziendale LIneas ed è stata vista a Valburg mentre trainava un convoglio di auto Volvo il 5 ottobre 2024. Questo treno effettua un servizio navetta tra Svezia e Anversa e normalmente attraversa i Paesi Bassi passando per Roosendaal, Dordrecht, Rotterdam, Amersfoort e Bad Bentheim. Tuttavia, a causa di lavori, il treno è stato deviato da Meteren sulla linea merci Betuweroute fino a Elst, dove ha proseguito via Arnhem, Zutphen e Deventer-Snipperling prima di riprendere il suo percorso normale verso Bad Bentheim. 

A few minutes after the arrival of the VSOE at Roosendaal, an attempt to photograph this train whilst exiting for Belgium failed and only a side shot on 186 258 was the result on 14 April 2022 at Roosendaal.

In about the last month of service, NS 186 007 hauls ICR through Hulten on 21 August 2025. A month later this loco has been returned to Akiem and from November 2025, ICR is no longer in servive.

After four decades, the era of ICR hauled stock is drawing to a close and that also spels the end for NS TRAXX locos Class 186.0 -both are scheduled to be withdrawn at the end of 2025. On 21 August 20254 NS 186 007 banks an IC service through Hulten.

Under the temporary guise of 2862, Railpool 186 181 stands at Rotterdam with an IC service to bruxelles Midi on 25 October 2015. Ten years later, NMB S again deploys TRAXX 186s in a temporary Class 28 designation, now being 2869-2872 (ex NS HiSpeed/FYRA/IC-Direct 186 119-122).
