TMR BDe 4/8 No. 21 (90 85 838 0821-1 CH-TMRSA) is waiting at Vernayaz M-C for its departure to Vallorcine. Due to a major reconstruction of the Martigny M-C station, M-C trains will begin and end their journeys in Vernayaz until mid-March 2026. This allowed me to photograph the train—waiting for departure—from the level crossing leading to the departure track. I am not certain, however, why the trains are using an unpaved platform—accessible only via a level crossing—rather than the track adjacent to the main station platform. This makes the transfer—already an unpopular experience—even more difficult, especially for passengers with luggage. November 19, 2025
