MGB and DFB in Oberwald: On the left side of the picture is the MGB Deh 4/4 with a regional train heading towards Andermatt, while on the right side of the picture and slightly lower, the DFB Gm 4/4 (ex MGB) has reached Oberwald with the diesel train.

In the high-altitude Gletsch, which is surrounded by tall mountains, the "new" locomotive of the DFB, the HG 4/4 No. 704, built in 1923 by SLM and delivered to Vietnam, transferred to Switzerland by the DFB in 1990, and put back into operation in autumn 2018 after many hours of work. The HG 4/4 704 (ex 40-304 from Vietnam) is on its way to Realp via the Furka mountain line with its steam train. The train left Oberwald a few minutes ago.
