Since the last deployments of NS reizigers Class 1700 on passenger trains is due to slip in the past from 9 December 2023, NSR organised a farewell trip through the Netherlands, using NS 1761 with a rake of DBIC coaches, notmally deployed on the IC-Berlijn (Amsterdam to Bad bentheim); the last passenger services for this once ubiquitious class electrics. On 19 NOvember 2023 NS 1761 stands in Nijmegen, where she will take a break of ten minutes before continuing to Tilburg and Rotterdam, places, the IC-Berlijn was never to be sen.

NS 1745 with supportive stickers for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris enters Hengelo on 14 October 2023 with an IC from Berlin. Anyone willing to photograph NS Class 1700s and German IC stock should report immediately on the line Amsterdam--Amersfoort--Hengelo--Bad Bentheim, because from December 2023 the 1700s will be replaced by leased Vectron locos.
