On 23 May 2010 Prussian designed 39 230 basks in the Sun light at the DDM in Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg.
Ex-DB 44 2546 gets photographed at the BEM in Nördlingen on 1 June 2019.



Of DB Class 10 only two examples were build. Althought these Pacifics were good engines, the shift toward Diesel and electric tractions overtook West-German steam operations and any series build of the 1953 designed Class 10 was cut short. The DDM luckily has saved 10 001 from oblivion and put her outside to enjoy the Sun light on 23 May 2010.

UEF's 75 1118 stands at Villingen (Schwarzwald) after having taken fresh water on 16 May 2026. Bacause steam loco don't run anymore in standard traffic, moststations have discarded their steam locomotive maintenance equipment, likt water hoses, so nowadays, for fresh water on steam locos, the local fire brigade are drafted in. But when one considers the scenes those brave souls of the fire brigade sometimes have to confront (like being to late to save all the lives...) one can imagnine that replenishing a steam loco's water supply is a rather more joyful assignment.
