ON 20 May 2003 DB 151 020 hauls a container train through Passau Hbf into Austria-one of the few trains to enter Austria due to a warning strike by national carrier ÖBB.

On 27 April 2016 Metronom celebrated 10 years of operations on the regional fast trains between Hamburg and Hannover and while standing at Hamburg-Harburg, Metronom 146 542 makes no secret of the tenth anniversary. Ten years later however, Metronom went down due to major financial difficulties.

One of the very few Metronom locos still carrying the Metronom logos is 146 535, seen here calling at Celle on 20 August 2026. Due to financial difficulties, metronom had to cancel their franchise Hamburg--Hannover--Göttingen media 2026 instead of December 2028.

On 8 September 2015 Metronom 146-04 calls at Celle with a regional fast train Hamburg Hbf to Göttingen via Hannover Hbf. After COVID-19 however, Metronom experienced increasing difficulties in maintaining their franchis, resulting inthe full scale withdrawal fronmthe railway scene midst 2026with DB Regio daughter Start taking over.
