On 29 December 2003 DB 143 312 calls at Bacharach, still carrying the old DR-red livery.
On 26 May 2004 DB 110 162 calls at Köln-Deutz.

S-Bahn Rhein-Rühr delpoyed a batch of these ex-DR locos where they released the 111s hitherto in S-Bahn service (111 111-188 with special S-Bahn livery).

MEG (Mitteldeutsche Eisenbahn Gesellschaft) is a daughter company of DEB Cargo and has former DB traction in freight services. Deployment of MEG in revenue earning scheduled passenger operation is quite rare, but on 29 April 2011 MEG 602 calls at Berlin Schönefeld Flughafen (the old station) with double deck stock destrined for Berlin Ostbahnhof.
