At the festival roundhouse at 18.08.2012 in South Westphalian Railway Museum in Siegen the 218 128-7 was presented on the turntable. The locomotive was 1971/72 built by Krupp under the serial number 5149, the phasing out was made on 27.05.2010.

After a year absence due to a broken bridge, the aluminum train to/from Spelle rides again and on 12 August 2025 BrohltalBahn 218 396 hauled the ful train near Kaarst southwards to Andernach. 

DB 218 429-9 arriving in Singen (Htw) with its RE 3 3057 from Basel Bad Bf to Friedrichshafen-Hafen. DB 245s are usually used on this route, so the beautiful DB 218 offers a pleasant change, especially since this beautifully designed locomotive, once seen everywhere, is now quite rare. When 218 trains were still pulling/pushing on the Hundsrückbahn - the DB 218 414-1 is waiting to depart in Emmelshausen with its train to Boppard. Unfortunately I missed or didn't have time to take photos of this scenic railway. March 18, 2018 
