The SNCF X 2816 - in Morteau on an Easter extra trip. The X 2800 diesel multiple units were built from 1957 at Decauville (X 2801 - X 2816) and at Renault (X 2817 - X 2919), so a total of 119 units. The last X 2800 ran in regular traffic until 2009. The X ABD 2816 seen here belongs to the "Assosiation l'autrail X2800 du Haut Doubs" and can be seen maneuvering in Morteau as part of a special Easter trip. The (ex) SNCF X ABD 2816 is traveling to the small hamlet of Pont de la Roche as part of a special Easter trip. The diesel railcar belongs to the "Assosiation l'autrail X2800 du Haut Doubs". The X 2816 drives along the Doubs with its inappropriate sidecar and soon out of my field of vision. It will probably be some time in the country again before I can enjoy seeing an X 2800 again...
