Hops and malt among the vineyards - Well, everyone can have their own opinion on that. In any case, I was looking forward to the photos of the (Murten-Seeland) Beer Train in Lausanne, which despite vandalism was able to complete its planned journey Murten - Yverdon - Lausanne - Murten as scheduled. The (telephoto) image taken on the platform of track 8 shows the Beer Train of the Beer Arena shortly before departure in Lausanne with the Pendelzug Mirage (VPM) BDe 4/4 201 at the front, the three EW I (VHB/EBT) and the VPM RBDe 566 I 222 as the tail vehicle. October 10, 2026

Of the two (ex Travys) Domino trains, at least one is still operating in its original composition with ABt NPZ DO 50 85 39-43 985-5, B NPZ DO 50 85 29-43 385-8, and RBDe 560 DO 94 85 7 560 385-7. The mentioned Domino is waiting with another Domino in Lausanne as S41 for departure to Fribourg. Either the ex Travys Domino is very well cleaned or newly painted; in any case, it makes an extremely well-maintained impression. June 26, 2026
