April 2026 was characterized by a strong focus on Swiss and cross-border regional traffic, with frequent appearances of SBB FLIRT (RABe 523, 522, 512) and Twindexx (RABe 502) units operating between Geneva, Lausanne, and Annemasse. The introduction of the new Léman Express RL7 line, directly connecting Annemasse with Geneva Airport and Vernier, was documented with several images, highlighting operational changes following the timetable update. Multiple sightings of SNCF Z 27500 (AGC) units on TER services between Genève and Lyon and Lyria TGVs between Geneva and Paris emphasized the busy Franco-Swiss corridor. In Germany and the Netherlands, notable events included the annual NVBS Koningsdag special train, hauled by RFO 1831 and RXP/RFO 6703, and increased deployment of ÖBB Vectron class 1293 locomotives following RCC's takeover of Captrain Netherlands. Freight movements by Lineas, Akiem, and Freightliner were also repeatedly observed in the Netherlands. Italian regional operations were represented by FS Trenitalia ETR 104 "Pop," ETR 600 "Frecciarossa," and HTR 412 "Blues" units, with special mention of route changes and rolling stock comparisons. The month saw a mix of shunting, passenger, and special trains, with many photos taken under clear or partly sunny spring weather. Key photographic locations included Denges-Echandens, Lausanne Triage, Vernier, Geneva, Bregenz, Lindau Insel, and various Dutch and Italian stations.
