Swiss Steam Festival 2026 - Although I'm fortunate enough to attend the Swiss Steam Festival quite often, one might think that I'd eventually run out of things to photograph. But as this picture shows, that's not the case. This is thanks to the presence of the G 2/2 TICINO! While the A 3/5 may be one of the most beautiful steam locomotives in my opinion, the G 2/2 TICINO has truly captured my heart, especially since I had the opportunity (in 2018) to ride in its cab for the first time. I was therefore all the more delighted that the G 2/2 TICINO was enriching this year's steam festival.

After initially thinking I'd hardly be able to photograph the locomotive in the crowd, this opportunity presented itself: Coming from Blonay, the HG 3/4 No. 3 steamed towards Chamby with its train, while the small TICINO, supplied with coal/wood and water, waited for its shunting maneuver into the museum station.
