The KWO MIB Ta 2/2 No.
(ID 59582)
The KWO MIB Ta 2/2 No. 3 "TRUDI" is being shunted onto track 1 in Meiringen by the Brünigbahn Tm 106 002 for display purposes. It appears that the Ta 2/2 No. 3 is either unable or not permitted to move under its own power. This battery-powered railcar was put into service by Kraftwerke Oberhasli (KWO) in 1931 on the Meiringen–Innertkirchen line—a route that functioned as an industrial railway at the time and did not appear in the official timetable until 1946. The Ta 2/2 No. 3 was retired in 1977 and subsequently sold to the DEV in Bruchhausen-Vilsen in 1979, where it was designated T 46. In 2024, an agreement was reached to exchange the Ta 2/2 No. 3 for a "Tm 3" (the specific identity of which was not disclosed), allowing the Ta 2/2 No. 3 to return to Meiringen. The "Tm 3" in question is the MOB Tm 2/2 / V 212.
