At the end of the long freight train on the journey towards Brig, the BLS Re 465 helps as a push locomotive.

The BLS RABe 528 110 MIKA reaches the Preglia train station as R1 from Brn to Domodossal, where the train now stops and takes me to Domo Oct 31, 2021

And then it comes back again: The BLS Re 465 013 runs through the Preglia train station as a locomotive.

At the end of the long freight train on the journey towards Brig, the BLS Re 465 helps as a push locomotive. The picture was taken in Preglia, at the northern end of the platform. An interesting detail: the switch lantern in the foreground for the junction onto the siding was of Swiss design, while the switch lantern for changing lanes a good hundred meters further back is of Italian design. In Aigle you can see the ABe 4/8 N° 471 arriving from Les Diablerets and the ABe 4/8 N° 472 departing to Les Diablerets.

At the end of the long freight train on the journey towards Brig, the BLS Re 465 helps as a push locomotive.

At the exit from Aigle, the new TPC ASD ABe 4/8 471 has left the journey on the road through the town behind and is now driving on its own route towards the vineyards.

BLS 465 002 pushes a regional train to Spiez and Interlaken Ost out of Zweizimmen on 31 December 2025. The coaches are multi-gaugable, enabling the train -but not the loco- to ride on both 1,435mm standard gauge and the smaller 1,000mm gauge of the MOB. 

With BLS Re 465 003 at the head, followed by an Re 475 and BLS Re 465 013 as a pusher locomotive (not visible here), a long freight train travels through Preglia up the southern ramp of the Simplon Pass towards Brig. A palm tree on the far right adds a touch of southern flair. October 31, 2024 
