In her last year of service with the BLS, 420 501 pushes a regional train out of Spiez towards Interlaken Ost on 2 January 2020.

ZSSK 754 004 has arrived from Zvolen at Zilina on 15 May 2018.

Top shot on BLS 501 at Spiez on 2 January 2020. This loco has been sold to Verein Extrazug.CH and that organisation is in the proces of restoring this loco back to her original condition as green SBB 11110, including the rounded head lights. It is planned that this loco will be unveiled in her original condition during the 150th anniversary of the Emmentahl Line (Burgdorf--Huttwill/Konolfingen) at Langnau in Emmenthal on 18 May 2025.

ON 23 March 2017 BLS 420 504 quits Spiez with a former Swiss-Express train to Interlaken Ost. Awaiting the delivery of new EMUs, BLS bought some Swiss-Express train sets and Re 4/4II of the first batch (11101-1115, recognisable by the single pantographs), recreating these once crack SBB fast trains -albeit in BLS colours and for regional services instead. 
