Several raindrops later, the IRSI/IGE Rheingold Re 4/4 II 11387 (Re 421 387-2) is now pulling its freight train to Apples, coming out of the industrial area near Gland again.

ON 23 March 2017 BLS 420 504 quits Spiez with a former Swiss-Express train to Interlaken Ost. Awaiting the delivery of new EMUs, BLS bought some Swiss-Express train sets and Re 4/4II of the first batch (11101-1115, recognisable by the single pantographs), recreating these once crack SBB fast trains -albeit in BLS colours and for regional services instead. 
