The first batch of thirteen Diesel lcomotives Class 2400 were delivered in turqouis for possible deployment on passenger trains.

Ex-NS 2412 stands at the VSM in Beekbergen on 6 September 2015.

During a down poor VSN 2459 hauls a photo freight from Eerbeek into Beekbergen depot during the Terug-naar-Toen 2015.

The first batch of thirteen Diesel lcomotives Class 2400 were delivered in turqouis for possible deployment on passenger trains. The colour however, became dirty very fast and with the influx of DMUs, plans to deploy Class 2400 on passenger trains were dropped immeditely. One of these turqouis locos, NS 2412 , has been preserved by the VSM and is sen here on 4 September 2022 at their depot in Beekbergen.

Ex-NS 2412 stands at the VSM in Beekbergen on 6 September 2015. When NS ordered 129 locos of this Class with Alstom, the Dutch experimented with colour schemes, resulting in this turqois for 2401-2422 before the brown of the 1960s waqs introduced to the whole Class. Since VSM already had a brown 2400, they decided to buy a second loco from a French operator and painted her in this colour scheme. 
