On 8 September 2015 Metronom 146-04 calls at Celle with a regional fast train Hamburg Hbf to Göttingen via Hannover Hbf. After COVID-19 however, Metronom experienced increasing difficulties in maintaining their franchis, resulting inthe full scale withdrawal fronmthe railway scene midst 2026with DB Regio daughter Start taking over.

The disappearance of the metronom name from the locomotives was a first sign that Metronom experienced difficulties in maintaining their contract. According to DB regio 146 231, Radolfzell is always worth a visit and thatcan be done with the RE2 to Konstanz via Hausach, Donaueschingen and Radolfzell. Like on 18 May 2026 with 146 231 quitting Offenburg on a Konstanz bound RE2.
