On 2 December 2023 SSN organised an extra Kerst-Express (X-Mas Xpress) from Rotterdam to Aachen because the first (schedukled for 16 December) sold out within a week. To accommodate the many disappointed would-be travellers, SSN organised a second Kerst-Express two weeks before the original scheduled one. After SSN 23 023 -which brought inmto Venlo the steamer- goty off the train, CBB 110 278 is being coupled (and filmed! -note the cameraman leaning out of the window of the first coach) to the Kerst-Express at Venlo on 2 December 2023.

CBB 110 278 takes over an extra train at Venlo on 7 February 2026. Because the platforms on tracks 1 and thre were occupied AND due to the partying public, it was decided at Venlo to swap locos on the fre track 2 that has no platforms. Here, the oldie has just put herself in front of the train and will lower her frontal pantograph to allow for electric connections betwen loco0 and coaches to be made. 
