The Saga ends. Decommissioned NS DM'90s BUFFEL DMUs stood from 2016 at Nijmegen for a possible sale to a Romanian operator. Unclearities in -amongst others- obligatory documentations however ended the sale in 2019. Since Prorail and Nijmegen wanted the area, where 48 BUFFELs were stored, to be cleared up for building an extra platform at Nijmegen, the sale fell through and NS bought the BUFFELs back to get them to the scrapyard. On 13 November 2019 Volker Rail 203-5 hauls the first batch of DM'90 out of Nijmegen. THe saga continues however with Polish operator SKPL buying the entire batch for deployment in services in the Slask and Dolnislask regions.

Saga się kończy. Wycofane z eksploatacji zespoły trakcyjne NS DM'90 BUFFEL stały od 2016 roku w Nijmegen w oczekiwaniu na możliwą sprzedaż do rumuńskiego operatora. Niejasności w – między innymi – obowiązkowej dokumentacji jednak zakończyły sprzedaż w 2019 roku. Ponieważ Prorail i Nijmegen chciały, aby teren, na którym przechowywano 48 BUFFELi, został oczyszczony pod budowę dodatkowego peronu w Nijmegen, sprzedaż nie doszła do skutku, a NS odkupiły BUFFELe, aby przetransportować je na złom. 13 listopada 2019 roku Volker Rail 203-5 wyprowadza pierwszą partię DM'90 z Nijmegen. Saga jednak trwa dalej, ponieważ polski operator SKPL kupił całą partię do eksploatacji na trasach w regionach Śląska i Dolnego Śląska. 
