I have often mentioned that “my” popular MOB photo locations in the surrounding area are hardly suitable for the GoldenPass Express due to backlighting. Now I have found an exception: At Les Avants in midsummer, the first train can be seen perfectly in the light and in its entire, now normal length: the MOB Ge 4/4 8002 is with the Golden Pass Express GEX 4064 from Montreux to Interlaken East just before Les Avants. In Zweisimmen, a BLS Re 465 will replace the MOB Ge 4/4 8002. In the background the Valais and Savoyard Alps and, far below, Lac Léman.

The MOB Ge 4/4 8004 is traveling with the Golden Pass Express GPX 4074 from Montreux to Interlaken Ost near Les Avants. Recently the GPX on the narrow gauge now has five parts, the reason is the addition of the middle entry car (low floor), which means that the The train is accessible to everyone and now offers a little more space in 2nd class.
