A MOB Ge 4/4 Series 8000, barely visible at the rear of the train, pushes its GoldenPass Express 4065 towards Montreux near Planchamp.

The Aem 940 017 is in diesel mode in Renens VD, so the pantograph is also lowered.

I have often mentioned that “my” popular MOB photo locations in the surrounding area are hardly suitable for the GoldenPass Express due to backlighting. Now I have found an exception: At Les Avants in midsummer, the first train can be seen perfectly in the light and in its entire, now normal length: the MOB Ge 4/4 8002 is with the Golden Pass Express GEX 4064 from Montreux to Interlaken East just before Les Avants. In Zweisimmen, a BLS Re 465 will replace the MOB Ge 4/4 8002. In the background the Valais and Savoyard Alps and, far below, Lac Léman.
