I have often mentioned that “my” popular MOB photo locations in the surrounding area are hardly suitable for the GoldenPass Express due to backlighting. Now I have found an exception: At Les Avants in midsummer, the first train can be seen perfectly in the light and in its entire, now normal length: the MOB Ge 4/4 8002 is with the Golden Pass Express GEX 4064 from Montreux to Interlaken East just before Les Avants. In Zweisimmen, a BLS Re 465 will replace the MOB Ge 4/4 8002. In the background the Valais and Savoyard Alps and, far below, Lac Léman.
