The Bernina Railway RhB ABe 4/4 I No. 35 of the Blonay Chamby Railway, which underwent an excellent overhaul last year, will take over the eclectic trains (except for the last train) at the season opener on May 3, 2025, which, of course, was entirely to my liking. Pictured here is the ABe 4/4 I 35 waiting in Blonay for departure for the first train of the 2025 season. May 3, 2025

A somewhat different picture for the Blonay-Chamby Railway's season opening: While the BFD HG 3/4 No. 3 steams its train past Chaulin toward Blonay in the background, the magnificent sounds of the alphorn resonate in the foreground.

On the return journey from Chaulin to Blonay I was able to photograph the RhB ABe 4/4 35 of the Blonay Chamby Railway upon arrival in Blonay. The railcar, which has only recently been operational again, is on the journey from Vevey to Chaulin with the Riviera Belle Epoque train.

La DER de la Saison / The end of the season of the Blonay Chamby Railway 2024 - For several years now, the Blonay Chamby Railway has been showing its wonderful vehicles in use at the end of the season with a condensed timetable. At the end of the season, once again steam at its finest: the SEG G 2x 2/2 of the Blonay-Chamby Bahn is shunting in Blonay.

At the end of the day there was, for my taste, the highlight of the end of the season celebration: The RhB Ge 4/4 N° 81; the magnificent locomotive is shunted in Blonay.

La DER de la saison / The end of the 2024 season of the Blonay-Chamby Bahn - The end of the end: Thanks to the time change, the very last train of the season runs in the blue hour. The Bernina Bahn Rhb Ge 4/4 81 de Blonay Chamby bahn brought the last train to Blonay and waits for the empty material train to return to Chaulin. So the 2024 season is finally over - what remains are many beautiful memories and photos, and of course a big thank you to the volunteers of the Blonay Chamby Bahn for once again a very successful season!
