July 2025 was characterized by a strong focus on Swiss railways, particularly around the regions of Ligerz, Lausanne, and the Blonay-Chamby heritage line. Multiple sightings of SBB ICN units and Re 4/4 II locomotives near Ligerz and the prominent appearance of the RABDe 500 "ICN" trains alongside the RABe 501 "Giruno" on the Gotthard axis reflected ongoing service changes due to maintenance work in the Gotthard Base Tunnel. The Blonay-Chamby Railway featured several historic vehicles, including MOB FZe 6/6 2002, RhB AB 4/4 No. 35, and Hg 3/4 No. 3, with several steam arrivals at Chaulin station. Model railroading was also present, with the Lima N Gauge Re 4/4 I 10047 showcased. The "150 Years of Emmentalbahn" celebration in Burgdorf and Konolfingen brought attention to restored steam locomotives such as Lok-3 LANGNAU and DBB 853. Additionally, there was a notable presence of Hungarian and Central European motive power, including MAV 470 series, GySEV locomotives, and ZSSK 383s, often linked to historic or commemorative events.
