The SJ Rc2 1036 reaches Malmö C with the D 318 "Nils Holgersson". The SJ Rc2 1039, built by ASSEA in 1969, took over the train at the Trelleborg ferry port. The D 318 "Nils Holgersson" runs from Berlin Zoo (from 10:50 p.m.) via Stralsund and Sassnitz to Malmö. On arrival the train consists of three cars, a DB sleeping car, an ex DR car (compartment car/coucher?) and another ex DR InterRegio car. In the last DR course book winter 1990/91 the train is listed in timetable table 650 as "Sassnitz Express". By the way, the eponymous Nils Holgersson traveled in the other direction in his story, namely from southern Sweden to Lapland.
