On 21 April 2024, RXP 1251 hauls a special train into Haarlem with an SSN train, including steamer at the other end. Between Haarlem and Leiden the famous Keukenhof flower beds are sited and in April most flowers bloom, hence this train shuttled between the two cities to give the riders a nice view on the blooming flowers. The six trips were sold out within three hours.

In her last year as SSN steam engine, 65 018 brings in a steam shuttle train from Gouda into Rotterdam Noord Goederen SSN on 7 October 2018. Behind the scenes, the transfer to VSM was already succesfully concluded.

On 2 December 2023 SSN organised an extra Kerst-Express (X-Mas Xpress) from Rotterdam to Aachen because the first (schedukled for 16 December) sold out within a week. To accommodate the many disappointed would-be travellers, SSN organised a second Kerst-Express two weeks before the original scheduled one. And so SSN 23 023 finds herself back at Venlo -oddly enough on Track 2 instead of Track 1- where the steamer will be swapped for CentralBahn 110 278 due to works at Mönchengladbach.
Il 2 dicembre 2023 SSN ha organizzato un Kerst-Express extra (X-Mas Xpress) da Rotterdam ad Aquisgrana perché il primo (previsto per il 16 dicembre) è stato esaurito in una settimana. Per accontentare i molti viaggiatori delusi, SSN ha organizzato un secondo Kerst-Express due settimane prima di quello originariamente previsto. Così SSN 23 023 si ritrova di nuovo a Venlo - stranamente sul binario 2 invece che sul binario 1 - dove la locomotiva a vapore sarà sostituita dalla CentralBahn 110 278 a causa di lavori a Mönchengladbach.

After the VSM Terug naar Toen festival, SSN 01 1075 stands at Dieren waiting for the go-ahead back to Rotterdam-Noord on the evening of 3 September 2023.

NIAG 186 142 gets coupled to the SSN Kerst-express with 01 1075 now steaming, but not hauling the train due to the lack of ECTS on the steamer (needed for Zevenaar Oost-Elten, which is part of the track Arnhem<=>Emmerich) on 17 December 2022 at Arnhem. NIAG 186 142 has deputised ofter in such cases, where a steam train is lpanned to cross the Dutch-German border at Emmerich.
NIAG 186 142 viene accoppiata al SSN Kerst-express con la 01 1075 ora in movimento a vapore, ma che non traina il treno a causa della mancanza di ECTS sulla locomotiva a vapore (necessario per Zevenaar Oost-Elten, che fa parte della linea Arnhem<=>Emmerich) il 17 dicembre 2022 ad Arnhem. SSN's 011 075 shunts an extra train at Dieren on 4 September 2022 just after the VSM Terug-naar-Toen train festival. She and an SSN Class 23 will haul the Rotterdam-bound train just 30 km away before being halted at Arnhen due to lineside fires, caused by the spraking of the steam engines. The extra train will arrive two hours late because an electric loco had to be dispatched ad hoc from Rotterdam.
La 011 075 della SSN manovra un treno straordinario a Dieren il 4 settembre 2022, subito dopo il festival ferroviario VSM Terug-naar-Toen. Essa e una Class 23 della SSN trascineranno il treno diretto a Rotterdam per soli 30 km prima di essere fermate ad Arnhem a causa di incendi lungo la linea, causati dalle scintille delle locomotive a vapore. Il treno straordinario arriverà con due ore di ritardo perché una locomotiva elettrica ha dovuto essere inviata d'urgenza da Rotterdam.
