For the season finale of the Blonay Chamby Railway La DER 2023, there was plenty of steam once again: the G 2/2 No.
Due to a sealing ring defect, the Bregenzerwald steam locomotive U25 has become inoperable.



As part of the season finale DER 2023, the Blonay Chamby Railway offered rides to the Baye de Clarens Viaduct to inspect the progress of the extensive renovation of the structure. Fortunately, I was allowed to leave the train under supervision and take a few photos. In the picture, the G 2/2 No. 4 Rimini with the beautifully restored A-L compartment coach with luggage compartment CF2 No. 21, built in 1900, on the Baye de Clarens Viaduct. October 28, 2023

125 years of the MOB—and the fulfillment of a long-held dream: a direct connection between Montreux and Interlaken! On the right in the image is the FZe 6/6 2002; ordered in 1931 and arriving in 1932—right in the midst of the Great Depression—it may have technically arrived too late, yet it perfectly embodies the MOB’s philosophy: to be different from the rest! 125 years of the MOB: I wish the MOB all the best, and may it once again demonstrate that seasoned, reliable service—a quality that has been sorely missed in recent years.
