Some NPZ RBDe 560 were prepared for French traffic from Basel to Mulhouse as RBDe 562.

Some NPZ RBDe 560 were prepared for French traffic from Basel to Mulhouse as RBDe 562. A conversion as a Domino was not carried out in order not to lose the French registration. The once planned mission to Mulhouse was abandoned after a few years. The last area of operation was RE Neuchâtel-Frasne as a TGV connecting train. The picture was taken in Noiraigue, shortly before the RBDe 562 were replaced by SBB Flirt RABe 522 following the timetable change.

Only the slightly longer stay of the RE 18122 Neuchâtel - Frasne in Pontarlier enabled me to find the end of the rather long fence so that I could still photograph the train leaving for Frase. Experience shows that photo trips to France by public transport are possible, but they require a bit of luck every now and then and should be based on solid advance planning. Oct 29, 2019 
