Some NPZ RBDe 560 were prepared for French traffic from Basel to Mulhouse as RBDe 562. A conversion as a Domino was not carried out in order not to lose the French registration. The once planned mission to Mulhouse was abandoned after a few years. The last area of operation was RE Neuchâtel-Frasne as a TGV connecting train. The picture was taken in Frasne. From the timetable change in December 2019, SBB Flirt RABe 522 will take over the service. Nov 23, 2019 

The picture was taken right at the border near Les Verrières, part of the NPZ is still in France, the front part is already in Switzerland! Nov 11, 2019 

The picture was taken in Noiraigue, shortly before the RBDe 562 were replaced by SBB Flirt RABe 522 following the timetable change. Nov. 5, 2019 

Only the slightly longer stay of the RE 18122 Neuchâtel - Frasne in Pontarlier enabled me to find the end of the rather long fence so that I could still photograph the train leaving for Frase. Experience shows that photo trips to France by public transport are possible, but they require a bit of luck every now and then and should be based on solid advance planning. Oct 29, 2019 
