The SBB Re 4/4 II 11289 (Re 420 289-1) is waiting in Lausanne with its EWLV train to the Limmattal marshalling yard (RBL) via Brig for departure. Interestingly, the long train is hauled by only one Re 4/4 II, whereas usually two class 193 locomotives rented from SBB Cargo (or in early summer 2025) two Re 6/6 locomotives are/were used for this. The IRSI Re 4/4 II 11378 shunting in Morges. The beautiful Rheingold locomotive replaced the BAM MBC's own Re 4/4 II 506 for a few weeks, which was undergoing maintenance in Bellinzona.
