ON 28 May 2019 BLS 420 502 calls at Spiez with a former Swiss-Express train to Interlaken Ost. Awaiting the delivery of new EMUs, BLS bought some Swiss-Express train sets and Re 4/4II of the first batch (11101-1115, recognisable by the single pantographs), recreating these once crack SB B fast trains -albeit in BLS colours and for regional services instead.

On 26 September 2010 BLS 504 hauls an ex-SBB Swiss Express into Spiez to form a regional train to Zweisimmen. 

BLS 420 501 stands in Spiez on 2 January 2020. Shortly after that, the BLS -that bought twelve SB B Re 4/4II second-hand- discarded themselves of the older loco class due to the influx of new EMUs. 
