The magnificent BB 22391 of the meanwhile rather rarely seen SNCF locomotive class BB 22200 is at Vernier with its TER 96605 on the journey from Grenoble to Genève.

Due to construction work, the La Plaine - Satigny line is currently only single-track; therefore, the TER coming from Valence in the background has to slow down a bit until the TER to Lyon, partially visible on the right in the picture, clears the track. This was, of course, not very helpful for a "successful" photo, but on the other hand, it shows the operation up close. June 1, 2026 
