On 21 April 2024, RXP 1251 hauls a special train into Haarlem with an SSN train, including steamer at the other end. Between Haarlem and Leiden the famous Keukenhof flower beds are sited and in April most flowers bloom, hence this train shuttled between the two cities to give the riders a nice view on the blooming flowers. RXP 1251 hauls an extra train through Nijkerk on King' Day 27 April 2023. Each King's Day, Dutch rail fan association NVBS organises an extra train and this year 1251 was to be used. Leonardus Schrijvers
