Our train from Palermo to Messina, the iC 730, was stationed on platform 1 at Palermo Centrale that day, which did not exactly make photographing easy... The FS Trenitalia E 464 213 is leading the train, which today is also operating with the train section from Siracusa to Messina, as the Messina - Taormina route was still closed the day before. FS Trenitalia’s E 464.191 is preparing the iC 724 in Syracuse. The train will be loaded onto a ferry in Messina, along with an iC from Palermo. After crossing the Strait of Messina, the two trains will travel together to Roma Termini. Arrival in Rome is scheduled for 21:34. 16 March 2026 
