From the platform's end DB cargo 185 051 with a car carrying train was photographed at Viersen on 23 September 2026. The usual breakdowns and service cuts by Eurobahn on the Mönchengladbach-Venlo relation gave your photographer an extra hour of train spotting.

Freight rollercoaster at Neuwied: on 30 April 2026 DB Cargo 185 146 hauls a southbound mixed freight through Neuwied. Tu-Sa Neuwied sees massive flows of freights since it is sited between Köln and Koblenz on the right Rhine bank (Rechtsrheinisch in German) where most freights between the two cities are directed -the left Rhine bank tracks (Linksrheinisch in good German) sees the long distance passenger trains that do not use the Köln-Frankfurt HSL.
