On 16 September 2019 DB 146 246 shows the celebration advertisement of 100 years of Free State Bavaria at Nürnberg Hbf -after the end of WW-1 and the collapse of the Wilhelminian Kaiserreich the former Kingdom of bavaria was reformed into a Free State within the German Weimar republic. Sadly, political turmoil turned the Free State into the birth cradle of National Socialism.

On 8 September 2015 Metronom 146-04 calls at Celle with a regional fast train Hamburg Hbf to Göttingen via Hannover Hbf. After COVID-19 however, Metronom experienced increasing difficulties in maintaining their franchis, resulting inthe full scale withdrawal fronmthe railway scene midst 2026with DB Regio daughter Start taking over.

The disappearance of the metronom name from the locomotives was a first sign that Metronom experienced difficulties in maintaining their contract. In June 2026 Metronom fromally withdrew from her contracts, handing these over to DB Regio daughter Start.

According to DB regio 146 231, Radolfzell is always worth a visit and thatcan be done with the RE2 to Konstanz via Hausach, Donaueschingen and Radolfzell. Like on 18 May 2026 with 146 231 quitting Offenburg on a Konstanz bound RE2.
