Borta är elmotorvagnarna klass 7800 hos NS. År 1993 moderniserade massiva beställningar av elektriska lok klass 1700 och dubbeldäckarvagnar i fasta set NS-flottan. Från år 2000 ersattes femtio lok klass 1700 som användes med trevagnars tågset av BoBoBo-motorvagnar som blev klass 7800. Från 2013 moderniserades alla klass 7800 elmotorvagnar radikalt till InterCity-material av klasserna 7500/7600. Den 7 januari 2006 stannar NS 7855 vid Elst med ett stoppande tåg till Arnhem och Zutphen. Förresten, DD-AR klass 740 var fyravagnars tågset utan en styrvagn, men kopplades till lok klass 1700. NS 7825 is stabled at Roosendaal on 23 March 2011. Class mDDM 7800 were developed out of the D-AR double deck coaches (three coach numbered in the 7300 series, four coach sets in the 7400 series) that were hauled by a Class 1700 electric locomotive. In 1999 NS ordered fifty EMU motor coaches to replace the Class 1700s on the hauled DD-AR stock, creating EMU Class 7800 and freeing fifty Class 1700s that were cascaded to other duties. From 2006 all Class 7800 were subject to a massive rebuilding programme, resulting in the DDZ/NID intercity EMUs of Classes 7500/7600 -and these are now temporarily out of service.
