Die Galerie zeigt eine umfangreiche Sammlung von Fotografien der Diesellokomotiven der Baureihe 218 in Deutschland. Die Motive umfassen verschiedene Einsätze dieser Lokomotiven im Personen- und Güterverkehr, darunter Regionalbahnen, Intercity- und Eurocity-Züge sowie Bau- und Sonderzüge. Zu sehen sind unter anderem zwei 218er mit einem Eurocity nahe Wangen im Allgäu (2006), 218 480-2 am Hauptbahnhof Heidelberg (2009), 218 111-3 in Frankfurt am Main (2008) und mehrere Einsätze in Lindau, beispielsweise mit IC 118 nach Innsbruck und IC 119. Weitere Aufnahmen zeigen die 218 408-3 der Hunsrückbahn in Boppard, 218 462 mit RE 351 "Jan Hus" in Sulzbach-Rosenberg-Hütte sowie 218 489 mit RE 352 in Amberg. Auch besondere Situationen wie das Ziehen eines ICE 3 über die Hohenzollernbrücke in Köln durch zwei 218er (2010) und die Präsentation der 218128-7 im Südwestfälischen Eisenbahnmuseum Siegen sind dokumentiert. Die Fotos entstanden an unterschiedlichen Orten, darunter München, Ulm, Koblenz, Essen, Lübeck, Meckesheim und Betzdorf, und zeigen verschiedene Jahreszeiten und Einsatzarten der Baureihe 218.
