On 2 December 2023 SSN organised an extra Kerst-Express (X-Mas Xpress) from Rotterdam to Aachen because the first (schedukled for 16 December) sold out within a week. To accommodate the many disappointed would-be travellers, SSN organised a second Kerst-Express two weeks before the original scheduled one. And so SSN 23 023 finds herself back at Venlo -oddly enough on Track 2 instead of Track 1- where the steamer will be swapped for CentralBahn 110 278 due to works at Mönchengladbach.
