Burlington Northern 9709 & 9689 pull an empty coal train across the Mississippi River and into the yard at Burlington, Iowa on 9 Apr 2005. The bridge swing span and tender shack are visible just above the lok cab. The other building is the sewage treatment plant. 

A strange GP locomotive sits at the siding near the Burlington, Iowa depot on 11 June 2005. I think this is an old Santa Fe unit, it is the only one I have seen like this. It is probably not rare, just rare in this town. 

An old Burlington Northern unit 1507 remarked with BNSF lettering on the cab sits with a BNSF Heritage I paint scheme lok 2130 and a Santa Fe unit ? 2475 ? with the beginning of a freight train that would later go to Galesburg, Illinois. 27 Feb 2006. Hotel Burlington is at the right. 
