As has often been the case, I chose the route home from the Gotthard via MGB and in Birg I had the opportunity to photograph something not seen here on the Gotthard: the FS Trenitalia ETR 610 008 leaves the Brig train station as EC 39 from Genève to Milano on the way Domodossola.

Since the FS Trenitalia ETR 610 is currently being repainted in a new eC color scheme, I took the opportunity to photograph this ETR 610 003 in the "old" colors once again at the departure in Genève as an EC to Domodossola, despite borderline lighting conditions. June 1, 2026 
