Terwijl de BLS MIKA RABe 528 117 als R1 het station Goppenstein verlaat richting Brig, wacht de Re 4/4 192 met zijn autotrein op vertrek naar Kandersteg.
De Lineas 7719 en 7768 dubbeltractie voor deze zware gemengde goederentrein naar de haven van Antwerpen.

In Wallis, in een verborgen zijdal, al dicht bij de grens met Italië, vond ik een nieuwe FLIRT, die de naam EVO draagt. Het zal waarschijnlijk een van de eerste treinen van deze serie in de reguliere dienst zijn: in Orsières wacht de TMR Regio Alpes RABe 533 601 als R82 26325 op vertrek naar Sembrancher. De nieuwe TMR Regio Alpes RABe 533 701 met het wapen van Commune de St Léonard en de bijpassende naam La Souterraine draagt het UIC-nummer RABe 94 85 0 533 701-4 CH-RA. 24 januari 2026

At the St-Gingolph terminus, located on the border with France, the variety of rolling stock is rather limited. However, over time, a number of different types have accumulated; I wouldn't go all the way back to the C 5/6 series, but from the BDe 4/4 and NINA trains to the Domino series, there has been quite a bit to see here. Until last year, BLS RABe 528 MIKA trains were also used here once a day (on weekdays), but with the commissioning of the new EVO Flirt trains, this is now a thing of the past. Instead, these new EVO trains are now seen more frequently in St-Gingolph: The picture shows Region Alpes RABe 533 702 (RABe 94 85 0 533 702-2 CH RA), which arrived in St-Gingolph as R91 6118 from Brig (14:06) and will return to Brig as R91 6123 (departing at 14:51). In the meantime, the train is being cleaned, or rather, photographed by me. May 26, 2026
