Herrlich. Da werden Erinnerungen wach: 1989 wurden hier die RABDe (hoffentlich richtig zitiert) eingesetzt. Längere Wartezeiten wurden durch gelegentliches Baden im See verkürzt. Tolle Möglichkit - was mich die folgenden Jahre dazu brachte, Foto- und Badeurlaub gerne mal an der französischen Mittelmeerküste zu kombinieren. Immerhin - diese bahnbrechende Idee wurde genau hier geboren ...

I did take the photo of this narrow gauge steam locomotive in the year 1998. The picture shows the "Whistling Billy", an 8 tons Porter Locomotive (0-4-0ST) once belonging to the Merced Gold Mining Co. in Coulterville / California and came to that place in 1897. (slide scanned) (go to image)

This locomotive should be No 1 (0-4-0ST) 24" from Merced Gold Co at Wells Fargo Office in Coulterville, CA.
