Il 22 maggio 2022 la DB 111 074 si trova a Köln Hbf con il treno extra Herzerather. I viaggiatori a bordo di questo treno (conosciuto anche come 'Sauferzug'; cioè Espresso degli Ubriaconi in Germania) non hanno fatto alcun tentativo di nascondere il loro entusiasmo udibile per un fine settimana di degustazione di vino. 

Distorsione temporale? Il 6 dicembre 2025 la DB 111 158 si trova a Venlo con un treno straordinario per Bonn composto da alcune carrozze DB degli anni 1960 e 1970, ma anche una o due carrozze degli anni 1930. Il molto più moderno ICE Classe 407 attende la partenza sul binario 3 sullo sfondo. 
