On the last single-track section of the Jura foot line shortly after Ligerz, the SBB Re 4/4 II 11288 (Re 420 288-3)  Avanti tutta  is on its way towards Biel/Bienne with a mail train.

The SBB Re 4/4 II 11289 (Re 420 289-1) is waiting in Lausanne with its EWLV train to the Limmattal marshalling yard (RBL) via Brig for departure. Interestingly, the long train is hauled by only one Re 4/4 II, whereas usually two class 193 locomotives rented from SBB Cargo (or in early summer 2025) two Re 6/6 locomotives are/were used for this.
