On 6 June 2015 SBB Cargo 421 374 banks an intermodal train out of Erstfeld toward Bellinzona. Since September 2016, freights on the old Gotthard line are almost extinct due to the opening of the NEAT Base Tunnel. 

Extra train with SSG 421 374 awaits departure at Payerne on 31 December 2024. THis train will go empty to Geneve, where a host of travellers will spend the switch from 2024 to 2025 om board the train from geneve to Luzern and Burgdforf -and back. 
