In 1998,ex-GDR type V22 shunting Diesel SHM-35 was bought by the Stoomtram Hoorn-Medemblik and earned her nickname "Griezel" (Creepy) reputedly due to the GDR's origin of the loco, but also because the unreability of the shunter's engine sometimes could be an absolute horror for the shunting crews. In 2006 the drastic solution was followed by replacing the originalengine with a Deutz engine and since that, the loco performs very well. On 6 July 2026 SHM-35 was shuntingat Hoorn after a nice weekend of steam specials.
